2013 Ion Ratiu Democracy Award: Call for Nominations
The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars welcomes nominations for the 2013 Ion Ratiu Democracy Award. The purpose of the Ion Ratiu Democracy Award (IRDA) is to bring visibility and international recognition to the ideas, ideals and accomplishments of individuals around the world who are working on behalf of democracy.
Ion Ratiu Democracy Lecture at Oxford Literary Festival
Beginning 2013 The Ratiu Family Charitable Foundation and Ratiu Center for Democracy are the partners of Oxford Literary Festival. The inaugural Ratiu Democracy Lecture takes place this March 23rd and will delivered by Adam Michnik, the 2009 Ion Raţiu Democracy Awardee, at the Sheldonian Theater in Oxford.

Annual Ion Ratiu Lecture at Georgetown University
was established in London in 1979 by Ion and Elisabeth Ratiu to promote and support projects which further education and research in the culture and history of Romania.
The Foundation offers 100 annual grants worth GBP 200,000, principally for projects, postgraduate courses, conference participations, travel grants, and other short term courses including academic research.

The Romanian Cultural Centre in London bridges a gap in the way Romania and Romanians are perceived in Britain. 2012 is a year in which the RCC plans to attract an even greater British audience towards making Romania and Romanian culture better known.
